PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM) presents the new CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP concoction for big bike fans in Indonesia. No half-hearted, this high-performance supersport motorcycle greets with a special edition celebrating 30 years of the Fireblade's presence, or called the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP 30th Anniversary.
The CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP is one of the best icons of Honda's high-performance motorcycle, which is present as the epicenter of the Total Control philosophy. Its presence is ready to offer perfect control and an adrenaline-pumping driving sensation like a MotoGP mount that can be ridden on the highway.
Still inspired by the Honda RC213V MotoGP and RC213V-S, the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP carries a variety of appeals. These include an overhaul of the intake system to increase engine performance at medium rpm, as well as the addition of rear sprocket teeth to improve acceleration and increase handling rigidity.
The identity of celebrating the presence of Fireblade since 1992 is obtained from the appearance of various sectors. Starting from the selection of red, white, and blue color combinations (Tricolor) for some parts, plus the details of the 30 year special edition marker that are attached to many motorcycle details.
Marketing Director AHM Thomas Wijaya said the 30-year special edition CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP comes with complete perfection for big bike lovers in Indonesia, especially those who want the best-featured motorcycle, and want to feel the sensation of maximum riding on the circuit.
“The 30 year CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP Special Edition will provide the ultimate driving experience. Its presence in the country is supported by the best service in the Honda Big Wing network, which is ready to provide premium services with a trained team to accompany fans of Honda's flagship big bike," said Thomas.
The CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP carries a legendary aerodynamic and aggressive design from Honda's supersport motorcycle. The design is aggressive with minimal frontal area to add aerodynamics. Almost all parts are created to get maximum downforce when accelerating, braking and maneuvering.
Full LED headlights are getting sharper to emphasize the futuristic impression. There are winglets adopted from the Honda RC213V to increase downforce, making the motorcycle stable when accelerating, or going fast when exiting corners.
Not only that, the DNA of racing motorbikes is also reflected in the application of Air-ram Duct (air holes) on the front which circulates fresh air directly to the airbox. The inside of the intake air duct was redesigned to provide a more perfect air supply, supporting the overall goal of increasing performance at medium engine speeds.
The fuel tank cover remains ergonomically designed, so the driver can get the most ideal position to reduce wind resistance. The main chassis of the CBR1000RR-R SP uses aluminum material, embracing the engine better to improve driving agility.
Meanwhile, the wheelbase, which was previously 1,455 mm, is now made longer, which is 1,460 mm. This is because the rear sprocket has added 3 teeth (from 40 to 43), to increase acceleration when needed at mid-speed. This longer wheelbase also makes improvements to the stability side of driving at high speeds. All information on the panel meter is shown with a full digital version of the TFT screen, five display modes can be selected according to the tastes and needs of the rider.
