Jisoo BLACKPINK admitted that she didn't feel confident about releasing a song as a solo singer. He is the only BLACKPINK member who has not spread his wings as a soloist.
"I'm not sure how much I want to go solo," said Jisoo when talking with Rolling Stone in the BLACKPINK special issue which was released some time ago.
In the conversation, Jisoo admitted that she was confused about what kind of solo song she should be releasing.
"The music I listen to, the music I can play, and the music I want to play - which one should I choose?" asked Jisoo.
Furthermore, he also revealed his personal preferences in music. He likes music that has many instruments. However, he also likes many bands and rock music.
"What do people want from me? There's conflicting between some of these questions," he asked himself.
"So, I'm still confused myself. I'm not sure about my solo plans this year," continued Jisoo.
Jisoo is the only BLACKPINK member who has not released a song as a solo artist. On the other hand, he chose to focus on his acting career.
Last year, Jisoo got a role as the protagonist in a historical Korean drama titled Snowdrop.
Among other BLACKPINK members, Jennie became the first personnel to release music as a solo singer. He released a song called Solo in 2018.
A few years later, Rosé and Lisa followed suit by releasing their respective solo works in 2021 with R and Lalisa.
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK is rumored to be making a comeback with a new album in June. This will be their first comeback after releasing THE ALBUM in October 2020.
A source said that BLACKPINK is preparing with a new album "next June as soon as possible". However, until now there has been no official information regarding the comeback date to the details of the album that will be released.
