The following tips apply only to the Windows XP Professional edition. This post reviews tricks to increase and speed up internet connections.
These tips are not new tips, even though they are still reliable and also very easy to do considering that each step is very short.
There are at least 3 tips that I will describe in this post, and God willing, these tips work well so you can feel the difference even though it's not too drastic.
So that you can try it too, understand the following tips:
First method
1. Make sure you are logged in as "Administrator (not just any account with admin privileges).
2. Navigate to START > Run and type: gpedit.msc
3. Navigate to Local Computer Policy > Administrative Templates > Network > QOS Packet Scheduler
4. In the right window, double-click reservable bandwidth setting limit
5. On the settings tab, check the settings are enabled.
6. There it says "Bandwidth limit %", you enter the value 0 (zero)
7. Click OK, close gpedit.msc
Go to START > My Computer > My Network Connections > View Network Connections, right click on your connection and under Properties (there is a list of your protocols), make sure QOS Packet Scheduler is enabled.
Second method
Applying this tweak assumes some merit in editing the Windows Registry using Regedit (Start > Run > type: regedit). As always, backup the registry before making any changes, so you can revert to a previous state if you don't like the result (fail).
The second method follow these steps: - Open desktop->my computer-(right click) -> properties-> then open the hardware tab-> Device manager-> now you are looking at the Device manager window then open port-> port communication ( double click) once it opens, the Port Communication Properties will appear. Open Port Setting :---- Change the value of "Bits per second" to 128000. Then also change "Flow control" to Hardware. Then select the "Apply" button
Third method
Type this code in notepad and save it as a file with the extension reg (*.reg) for example, you save it with the name speed.reg and. Then run this file.... ur this will increase download n surf speed
