The black color of the blackest began to be in demand. Evidently, a Ferrari SF90 hanging around with a color similar to vantablack.
Quoted by Carscoops, Tuesday (18/5/2021) the Ferrari SF90 roamed the complex from the Prancing Horse manufacturer's stables, Maranello, Italy. It's possible that Ferrari is testing the darkest color for a future implementation or expansion of its color palette.
What if you use it at night? Moreover, the SF90 Stradale, which began production in 2019 as the first plug-in hybrid supercar, is quite savage. The car is equipped with an electric powertrain incorporating a turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine, producing 769 HP and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm) of torque, mated to three electric motors and a new eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The total output is 986 HP, capable of running up to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 2.5 seconds and up to 211 mph (340 km/h).
Previously, the black color from the blackest was first used on the BMW X6 car in 2019. This color was introduced by a company called Surrey NanoSystems in 2014.
Vertically Aligned Nano Tube Array, an acronym from Vanta, is made of a cylindrical structure of carbon nanotubes measuring 14-50 micrometers in diameter with a diameter of 20 nanometers. Simply put, the size of this carbon structure is 5,000 times thinner than a human hair.
Every 1cm of the surface of this car contains billions of nanotubes. If coated on the surface of the car, this paint is able to absorb 99.965 percent of light. So in addition to not giving reflections like metallic, pearl, or even matte paint, this Vantablack paint can actually swallow the light that hits it from the human eye view.
Even the curves of the exterior design of this car cannot be seen with the naked eye. The only visible parts of this car are those that are not coated with Vantablack, such as the tires, lights, grille and windows.
But not only BMW and Ferrari, the vantablack color makes people curious to try it. A YouTuber with the channel name DipYourCar tries to apply the color of musou black paint - the blackest water-based acrylic paint in the world - produced by Koyo Orient Japan which is similar to vantablack on the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution.
