Land Rover has finally kept its promise to present the latest generation of the 2022 Range Rover which is packed with the latest model with a new power source. The new model referred to by Land Rover is the availability of a variant with two types of wheelbase. Range Rover Long Wheelbase which has dimensions of about 8 inches longer than the standard Range Rover.
The latest generation Range Rover does appear more functional by presenting a variant with a longer wheelbase and a five-passenger configuration with ample luggage space.
Meanwhile in the latest generation, Land Rover eliminates several types of Range Rover such as the SV and still maintains the Autobiography type which presents the most complete features.
In terms of performance, the latest Range Rover is offered with two engine options, namely the 6-cylinder 3.0-liter Turbocharged for the P400 model which produces 395 hp and 550 Nm of peak torque. As for the long wheelbase P530 model, it is equipped with a 4.4 liter Turbocharged V8 engine which is also paired with a 48 volt hybrid system.
The engine produces power of up to 523 hp and peak torque of 750 Nm which makes it the most ferocious powertrain in the Range Rover range.
While Land Rover is also busy in preparing its electrification model, he said that the latest Range Rover model will come with a full EV option in 2024. In addition, the manufacturer will also release a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) option that combines a Jaguar Land Rover Ingenium inline-six engine with a 38.2 kWh lithium-ion battery pack engine. There will be many surprises presented by the manufacturer for the latest Ranger Rover model.
Not only on engine support and a new look, Range Rover also presents a new Pivi Pro infotainment system with a 35-speaker Meridian audio system. In addition, there is a noise-canceling feature that can reduce engine and road noise more optimally than the previous model.
Entertainment services will center on a 13.1-inch curved screen above the dashboard while rear row passengers will get a 11.4-inch dual touch screen with support for standard features such as smartphone connection, video player and satellite navigation.
The latest Range Rover can reportedly be ordered in the near future at authorized dealers in the US with the lowest price tag of US $ 105,350 or the equivalent of Rp 1.5 billion excluding taxes and shipping costs.
Reportedly the new Range Rover will first appear at the Los Angeles Auto Show exhibition next month and the manufacturer is expected to confirm the schedule for the launch of the electric model that will go on sale next year.
