Currently, the CN235 aircraft is the most successful aircraft in its class. At least, more than 300 CN-235 aircraft of various versions have been produced.
In collaboration for export purposes, PT DI added a number of aspects, starting from the production of outer wings, horizontal stabilizers, vertical fins, to doors for Airbus Defense & Space. Later, Airbus Defense & Space produced a disassembled fuselage nose, disassembled cockpit and center wing for PT DI.
More than 20 countries have used the CN235 aircraft. Not only from Asia, but also including the United States, and several European countries. The CN235 aircraft will become more global after the sale and development cooperation between PT DI and Jet Investment Group SAR.
Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto was also present at the MoU signing procession which was held at the Hanggar Fixed Wing Final Assembly Line, PT DI, Bandung, West Java, Wednesday (2/2/2022).
"I fully support cooperation in marketing PTDI products, especially CN235 to the international market," Prabowo said in a written statement, Wednesday.
The Ministry of Defense (Kemenhan) itself has even ordered 10 CN235 aircraft to be used domestically. "It has been planned to purchase 10 CN-235 produced by PT DI, which are multirole aircraft by the Indonesian government," explained the former Danjen Kopassus.
Prabowo said several countries expressed interest in the CN-235 aircraft. For example, Africa, the Middle East, Latin America, as well as some Asian and European countries.
