Description
The Gulfstream G500 and G550 are business jet aircraft produced by General Dynamics' Gulfstream Aerospace unit, located in Savannah, Georgia. Gulfstream's G550 is the company's second largest business jet, after the G650. Beginning production in 2003, Gulfstream has produced 500+ of the G550s.
The G550 is equipped to fly on intercontinental trips but is still capable of taking off from short runways at high altitude airports. The aircraft is configured with three living areas that can seat up to 14 passengers. The Gulfstream 550 has the longest flight range in its class.
With a range of over 6,700 nm and a cruise speed of 560 mph, the G550 will take you and your colleagues across oceans and continents, allowing a non-stop flight from New York to Beijing and New York to Dubai. Additionally, this aircraft has a PlaneView® cockpit, which consists of four Honeywell DU-1310 EFIS screens, a Gulfstream-designed cursor control system, and an Enhanced Vision System (EVS). Among other aircraft, the G550 competes with Bombardier's Global family of jets.
