Land Rover Defender 2022 Seduces Consumers With Supercharged V8 Engine

The Land Rover Defender 90 and 100 have finally been released to complete the 2022 Defender family line. Both models come with a choice of a 5.0-liter Turbocharged V8 engine configuration that produces 518 hp. Meanwhile, in the Land Rover Defender range, there are several engine options ranging from 4 cylinders, 6 cylinders to Plug-in Hybrids, now added with a Supercharged V8 engine.

The focus on this Defender V8 is higher performance, both on the highway and off-road. One example is if the Defender accelerates straight on the highway, it can accelerate from 0-100 km / h in less than 5 seconds.

While shrewdness in off-road terrain is capitalized by 625 Nm of torque which is channeled through to all wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission.

The Land Rover Defender 90 comes with a two-door and four-passenger design, while the 110 version is designed with a four-door layout.

Defender V8 is the highest variant in terms of engine, torque, features and price. In Europe, the Defender 90 is priced at USD 97,000 while the 110 version is slightly more expensive at USD 100,400.

But if the standard appearance of the Land Rover Defender V8 is still lacking, there is another variant, namely the Defender V8 Carpathian Edition.

In this version, there are Carphatian Gray and Narvik Black colors that cover almost the entire body, starting from the roof, hood to the rear door. Another addition to the exterior is a protective film all over the body with a semi-matte finish.

The interior also has a different look thanks to the seats wrapped in Ebony Grainer leather and a combination of Robust Woven fabric. In addition, the first row seats are equipped with 12 settings, heating and cooling as well, basically complete.

In addition, highway driving mode and electric transfer case lever. Especially for the Defender V8, there is a Dynamic mode in the Terrain Response System off-road device. With this mode, the driver will find it easier to tame the vehicle when going through offroad terrain.

Other changes are also found in the display of entertainment features with an 11-inch touch screen that already uses the Pivi Pro system.

The system provides a wireless smartphone charger (wireless) and a Wifi connection. There are quite revolutionary changes in the Defender V8 considering the price to be redeemed is quite expensive.

The Defender V8 has to compete with the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon and Mercedes Benz G550 which also have a V8 engine configuration. However, the two competitors set a lower price than Land Rover.
