The development of the laptop industry is indeed not as fast as smartphones, but now it has reached a point where one screen is not enough. To answer this need, several major brands have launched laptops with two screens.
Generally, the secondary screen is between the main screen and the keyboard and is large enough as an additional screen. This kind of laptop is certainly not intended for ordinary users, but for professionals such as photo and video editors. Here are some of them.
1. ASUS ZenBook Duo UX482
ASUS is one of the brands that started the existence of laptops with two screens and ZenBook Pro Duo is the best two-screen laptop from them right now. This luxury laptop is equipped with a 14-inch FHD resolution screen that has been validated by Pantone with 100 percent sRGB.
Both screens are above the keyboard with a size of 12.65 inches with a resolution of 1920 x 515 and have stylus support. For specs, ZenBook Pro Duo is powered by an 11th generation Intel Core i7 processor, NVIDIA MX series GPU, up to 32GB DDR4 RAM and up to 1TB M.2 NVMe SSD storage.
2. ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo UX581
If ZenBook Pro Duo UX482 is the best 14-inch two-screen laptop from ASUS, which in the 15-inch screen class, ZenBook Pro Duo UX581 is the best. It has a more luxurious screen with an OLED panel, measuring 15.6 inches and 4K resolution. The second screen has a size of 14 inches with 4K resolution as well.
Turning to the specifications, ZenBook Pro Duo UX581 is equipped with a 10th generation Intel Core i9 processor, NVIDIA RTX series GPU, RAM up to 32GB DDR4 and SSD storage up to 1TB. In addition, another luxury is also brought on the audio side with speakers from Harman Kardon.
3. HP Omen X 2S
HP followed the steps that ASUS brought on the ZenBook Pro Duo by pinning the secondary screen between the main screen and the keyboard. The main screen measures 15.6 inches with FHD resolution, 240Hz refresh rate and is compatible with NVIDIA G-Sync.
While the extra screen is only 5.98 inches with the same resolution, namely FHD. As a gaming laptop, Omen X 2S has strong specifications. The 9th generation Intel Core i7 processor is believed to be the main kitchen runway, supported by an NVIDIA RTX series GPU, RAM up to 16GB DDR4 and SSD storage up to 1TB.
4. ASUS ROG Zephyrus Duo SE
In terms of specifications, the ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo is indeed very capable for playing games. But if gaming is the main focus, ROG Zephyrus Duo SE is the more recommended option. This laptop is equipped with a 15.6-inch main screen with 4K resolution with a refresh rate of 120Hz, and an additional 14-inch screen with 4K resolution.
The specifications themselves are monsters with an AMD Ryzen 9 processor as the main processing brain, assisted by an NVIDIA RTX series GPU, RAM up to 16GB DDR4 (which can still be expanded of course) and 2x SSD storage, each with a capacity of 1TB.
5. Lenovo ThinkBook Plus
Unlike the previous three laptops, the second screen of the Lenovo ThinkBook Plus is not above the keyboard but behind the main screen itself. This business class laptop packs a 13.3-inch FHD screen with 100 percent sRGB as the main screen, with both screens having a smaller size at 10.8 inches with FHD resolution and Gorilla Glass protection.
Although not a laptop for heavy needs, ThinkBook Plus still has specifications. The ThinkBook Plus is powered by a 10th generation Intel Core i7 processor, up to 16GB DDR4 RAM and 512GB SSD storage.
6. Intel Honeycomb Glacier
At Computex 2019, Intel revealed one of the new products they called Honeycomb Glacier. The concept carried by Honeycomb Glacier is actually not much different from most on this list – especially from ASUS – but what is different is that both screens are equipped with hinges so that they can be positioned at a certain degree.
The main screen measures 15.6 inches with a resolution of 15.6 inches accompanied by a second screen with a size of 12.3 inches. Honeycomb Glacier is still a prototype so far but when released later it is expected to carry an Intel Core i9 processor and an NVIDIA RTX series GPU.
7. Intel Twin River
Honeycomb Glacier isn't Intel's only view of the future of dual-screen laptops. There is Twin River which also has two screens but with a different approach. This laptop does not have a keyboard and looks more like a tablet with two screens separated only by a hinge.
Each screen measures 12.3 inches with FHD resolution and 3:2 aspect ratio. There are no official specifications for this laptop but what is certain, Intel designed the motherboard itself into two parts with components such as CPU and RAM, separated from components such as I / O modules and connectivity.
That was the review of the best laptop with two screens in 2021. Interested in one of the cool laptops above?
