What are Gen Z and Millennials? – Nowadays, surely you often hear terms for young people as Millennials and Genz, then do you know the difference between the two?

What are Gen Z and Millennials?
Gen Z is the generation born in the range of 1997 to 2012, so that in 2022 they will be 10 to 24 years old
Gen Z Characteristics:
The character of each generation can be different and can be known from the era in which they develop, it also makes Gen Z called iGen by an American psychologist named Jean Twenge which means Ambitious, Digital-Native and Confident.
Next are Millennials. Also known as Generation Y, they are the generation born between 1981 and 1996, and by 2022 they will be 26 to 41 years old.
Characteristics of Generation Y / Millennials:
This generation is now known as “Lazy” and likes to spend money, but they are the first generation known as Digital Native.
According to Abramson, they are a generation that is independent and does not want to depend on others, Confident and creative.
Terms in Other Generations
Well, in addition to the two generation terms above, there are also several other terms that indicate the older generation, such as:
Gen X: They are the generation born between 1965 and 1980, and in 2022 they will be 42 to 57 years old
Baby Boomers: They are the generation born between 1946 and 1964, and by 2022 they will be 58 to 76 years old
The last generation is Generation Alpha or Post Gen Z, namely those born between 2010 and 2013 and in 2022 are estimated to be 9 years old.
