The DFSK E3 is Chinese manufacturer DFSK's answer to the needs of electric vehicles. They introduced this car for the first time on the ground at the Indonesia Motor Show in 2019. DFSK presented this car to anticipate government regulations regarding electric cars that will take effect from 2021. They claim that they are ready if the regulations run.
The DFSK E3 could be the first SUV in Indonesia to be electric driven. The driving force is an electric motor with the equivalent power of 163 PS with a peak torque of 300 Nm. The 52.5 kWh battery capacity is a source of energy for the electric motor. Claimed to be able to move the car as far as 405 km.
The dimensions are fairly compact and close to the size of the Honda HR-V. The look is similar to the Glory 560 and 580, because that's DFSK's design language. The most obvious difference is in the stern which looks neat and modern.
Even the C pillar is presented with a modern floating roof effect. The interior looks modern and has a pretty good quality. The dashboard and some parts of the cabin are wrapped in a padded layer so it feels expensive. The monitor screen measuring 10.25 inches is the dominant thing in the middle of the dashboard. Will the sale be a success? Just wait for next year.
