Ferrari 296 GTS Pave in RI, Here are the Specs & Price Range

Recently, the famous luxury car manufacturer, Ferrari has launched a new model, namely the 296 GTS convertible. This is their fourth plug-in hybrid model.

Previously, this Italian luxury car already had the SF 90 Stradale, SF90 Spider and 296 GTB in the hybrid lineup.

The Ferrari 296 GTS features ABS Evo with Six-Way Chassis Dynamic Sensor (6w-CDS) which can keep the car under control even in and out of difficult corners.

This supercar uses a twin-turbo V6 engine coupled with an electric motor and a battery that can be charged directly. This is what makes it a Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) type Ferrari.

Meanwhile, just like the previous version, the Ferrari 296 GTS also has a retractable hardtop. The hardtop is tucked away in front of the V6 turbocharged plug-in hybrid powertrain.

According to the official report, the roof only takes about 1.4 seconds to go up or down. In raising and lowering the roof, the car does not need to stop because this system can work even if the car is at a speed of 28 mph.

The Ferrari 296 GTS only takes 2.9 seconds to accelerate from 0-100 km/hour. The driving motor in the 296 GTS is not only for fuel efficiency, but also to increase power and help accelerate it.

The twin-turbo V6 petrol engine in the 296 GTS is claimed to have power up to 663 PS. Meanwhile, the power from the electric motor is claimed to be 167 PS. So that the total Ferrari 296 GTS can run with a total engine power of 830 PS.

How much does a Ferrari 296 GTS cost?

However, Ferrari did not reveal the selling price of the 296 GTS line. Because Ferrari said that each unit sold could be different from one another, because this car was made to order.

"The price is definitely higher than before (296 GTB). Because if it's a convertible, it's definitely a little more expensive. People's tastes are sometimes different, a car that can be opened might be for a car on Saturday or Sunday, so it's a pleasure in itself," said the General Manager Ferrari Official PT Eurokars Prima Utama, Nini Chiandra during the Private Preview of The New 296 GTS in Central Jakarta, Friday (10/2/2023).

It is estimated that the Ferrari 296 GTS will be sold starting at US$ 340 thousand or around Rp 5.1 billion.

As for the buyer's criteria, Nini said that the target buyer generally has loyalty or at least has been a Ferrari user and owner for four years.
