The Mitsubishi Minicab MiEV electric car is being prepared to enter the light commercial vehicle segment in Indonesia. Using an electric motor and battery power system, competition in this class is not yet busy.
Apart from the DFSK Gelora E, it seems that now there are no light commercial vehicles like the Daihatsu Gran Max Blind Van or Suzuki Karimun Wagon R Blind Van that are powered by electric motors. And PT Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Sales Indonesia (MMKSI) also seems more enthusiastic about entering this market.
This can be seen from the study being conducted by MMKSI for the Mitsubishi Minicab MiEV. This tiny car was also installed at the Mitsubishi booth at the 2022 Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS).
Minicab MiEV can be seen lined up with other MMKSI superior product lines such as the New Xpander, New Xpander Cross and New Pajero Sport.

Already Used by Several Logistics Companies
As previously announced, the Mitsubishi Minicab MiEV is currently being used by several leading corporate partners. Among others, as vehicles for PT Pos Indonesia, PT Haleyora Power, Gojek, and DHL Supply Chain Indonesia.
This collaboration is also a pilot study for the feasibility test of the kei-car class electric commercial vehicle on Indonesian roads. Because later MMKSI hopes that Minicab MiEV can help the company's operational activities that lead to environmental sustainability without emissions, especially in logistics activities.
Mitsubishi Minicab MiEV specifications
Mitsubishi Minicab MiEV has been launched in Japan since 2011. The power source relies on a 16 kWh capacity battery with a 2WD drive system. The battery is claimed to be able to be used up to 150 km on a single charge.
The power generated from the electric motor reaches 41 PS in the 2500-6000 rpm range and a large maximum torque of 196 Nm which is achieved at 3000 rpm. The manufacturer claims, the amount of power makes it superior on steep inclines.
