First Street Racing Style Hyundai Ioniq 5 Modification in the World

Modifying the Hyundai Ioniq 5 by replacing the rims, installing wrapping stickers, or upgrading the audio system may be commonplace.

But if the Hyundai Ioniq 5 has a fairly extreme modification with a full bodykit plus flat suspension, this is the first of its kind in the world.

Taking place at the Indonesia Modification & Lifestyle Expo (IMX) 2023 which took place at JCC Senayan, Jakarta, Coga Bodykit offered a special bodykit package for the Ioniq 5.

"The concept is Street racing, but we are thinking about how it looks cool but can still be functional and comfortable for everyday use," said Andra from Platinum Auto Workshop, which represents the Coga Bodykit brand.

He said that the population of electric cars around the world will definitely continue to increase, and the Hyundai Ioniq 5 is also an EV model that is in great demand.

"But if we talk about the Ioniq 5, nothing has been modified to this extreme. So we can say that this is a trend setter that can be proud not only in Indonesia but also throughout the world," he said.

Coga Bodykit Can Be Installed Plug and Play

If you look at the unit that debuted at IMX 2023, the original appearance of the Ioniq 5 is almost covered with a bodykit.

Starting from the front bumper, front lip spoiler which uses carbon fiber, the garnish under the main lights is also carbon.

Then, widebody overfenders were added to the four wheel wells, as well as the standard suspension which had been replaced by an air suspension system.

Then a set of 19 inch Rotiform rims with a width of 10.5 inches at the front and 11.5 inches at the rear also fills the fender space.

However, interestingly, this installed device can be used plug and play. For example, the over fender is only attached without tearing the Ioniq 5's default fender

Then the air suspension for the four wheels was also made custom by adjusting the electrical system and mechanisms on the Ioniq 5. So that the additional devices installed do not interfere with the overall system of the electric car.

"Why do we install it like that, so that if consumers want to standardize it, they can still do it," explained Andra.

Meanwhile, at the rear, you can see the installation of a diffuser and a fairly high two-level rear wing, also using carbon fiber material.

The placement of this large wing was done in order to achieve harmonization of the car body which is already approximately 60 cm wide left and right, not to mention the standard Ioniq 5 body at the rear which is slightly lowered.

Price of Hyundai Ioniq 5 Modified Bodykit

If you are interested in installing a Coga bodykit for the Ioniq 5, this modified device is sold per package starting from USD 3,000 or around IDR 50 million.

This price is still for the material, it has not been painted and does not use carbon material, but if you want it to be in paint and installed condition, then the cost starts from IDR 60 million.
