Honda Introduces the Latest Mobility Products and Technology at the 2023 Japan Mobility Show


Honda Motor Co., Ltd. introduced various new mobility products and technologies including cars, motorbikes, power products, aircraft and other concept models at the Japan Mobility Show 2023. The event, previously known as the Tokyo Motor Show, took place at Tokyo Big Sight, Tokyo city, Japan. opens to the press on October 25 and 26, 2023 and to the public October 27 - November 5, 2023.

Honda carries out its business activities in accordance with its global brand motto: The Power of Dreams - How we move you. In this new motto, Honda wants to convey the message that "The dreams of every individual who works at Honda have always been Honda's main drive, and the various mobility products and services created by Honda with the power of dreams will move the body, the heart, and help many people realize their dreams into the future."

Through this basis, at the Japan Mobility Show 2023, Honda is showing various forms of Honda products ranging from mobility, services and technology that will enable people to "transcend various boundaries such as time and place" and "develop their abilities and opportunities."

The theme carried by the Honda booth at this exhibition is "Honda DREAM LOOP," Honda will convey a picture of the future where various people's dreams will continue to develop, starting with mobility products and services that reflect Honda's dreams.

The Honda booth was designed to display the nuances of dreams and initiatives that have been realized by Honda and a picture of people's daily lives in the future when Honda's dreams become a reality. Through these exhibitions, Honda facilitates consumers' understanding of the dreams and future society that Honda wants to realize.

In addition, through Honda's special website for the Japan Mobility Show 2023, Honda offers visitors, where visitors can put forward their ideas about "dream mobility" using their own words, and artificial intelligence (AI) will generate "dream design images " from every visitor.

Toshihiro Mibe as President & Representative Director of Honda Motor Co., Ltd said that, "We chose "Honda Dream Loop" as the theme of our stand to express the future, where the dreams of many people will form like an infinite circle and also continue to grow, starting of mobility products and services that embody the Honda dream.”

In this exhibition, Honda displays its first electric SUV product, namely the Honda Prologue. This car will be sold in early 2024 in America. Honda's first electric SUV offers a dashing new exterior design with ground clearance suitable for driving in various road conditions, a spacious and comfortable interior design and advanced technology features.

Honda also displays concept models, namely the Honda SUSTAINA-C Concept and Honda Pocket Concept. The two concept models are an electric car and an electric motorbike. These models are made from recycled and reused acrylic resin. This concept model demonstrates transcending the limitations of resource availability with the aim of achieving environmental sustainability as well as the joy and freedom of long-term mobility.

Then Honda also presented an electric motorbike concept model called the Honda SC e: Concept which is powered by two Honda Mobile Power Pack e units. This model offers a smooth and powerful driving experience that provides more comfort in daily mobility.

Honda also presents its newest sports car concept model, namely the Honda Prelude Concept. This car is powered by batteries and provides a fun, sporty driving experience for its users.

In this exhibition, the HondaJet/Honda eVTOL is also displayed, Honda's airborne mobility product. Honda is showcasing a full-size interior replica of its HondaJet Elite II light business jet as well as a one-fifth-size exterior replica of a Honda eVTOL, and a gas turbine hybrid system being developed as a Honda VTOL drive unit will also be on display.

To provide a glimpse of a cleaner future, Honda is showcasing the Honda Mobile Power Pack e to store and transport renewable energy so users can overcome the limitations of limited resources and achieve environmental sustainability and freedom of mobility.

Honda also designs mobility products intended for people with disabilities, starting from the Honda CI-MEV. Demonstration model of a four-wheeled, two-seater electric vehicle equipped with Honda's Cooperative Intelligence (CI) Technology and automatic driving technology to make things easier for users.

Honda displays the Honda Autonomous Work Vehicle, where this product helps users transport goods and can navigate various road conditions. In this exhibition, the Honda Avatar Robot was also displayed, where this product has a multi-finger robotic hand and can be controlled remotely supported by AI. The Honda Avatar Robot will allow users to perform remote tasks and experiences as if they were there.

The Honda UNI-ONE product is a chair-based personal mobility device that does not require hands. UNI-ONE is a mobility device that users control by shifting their body weight while sitting and moving as if they were walking. UNI-ONE will open up opportunities for users with mobility challenges.

Honda products and services also displayed at this exhibition are the new mini commercial electric car prototype and the Power Exporter e: 6000 portable power output device. There are also Mobility Products and Services originating from IGNITION starting from Ashirase, an in-shoe navigation system for the blind (Ashirase , Inc.), Striemo, a three-wheeled one-person electric micro-mobility product (Striemo Inc.) as well as RAIL ACTIVE-e bicycle equipped with Honda SmaChari which will make it a regular assisted and connected electric micro-mobility product (Y. International. , inc.) SmaChari is the first technology originating from IGNITION that will be sold commercially under the Honda brand.
