Daihatsu Sigra (Specifications | News) is the backbone product of PT Astra Daihatsu Motor. As a 7-seater LCGC which is widely used as an online taxi, as of September 2023 the Sigra is offered from IDR 136 million to IDR 180.6 million.
The types sold start from 1.0 D MT, 1.0 M MT, 1.2 X MT, 1.2 X MT DLX, 1.2 X AT, 1.2.
Having many variants, quite a few people say that the Sigra 1.0 has many advantages over the 1.2. So what factors make Sigra 1.0 more suitable to choose? Here's why.
1. The price of the Daihatsu Sigra 1.0 is affordable
The first reason the Daihatsu Sigra 1.0 is more suitable for middle-class people is the price. According to the official website, the 1.0 D MT type car is priced at IDR 136 million. Meanwhile, 1.0 M MT sells for IDR 146.6 million.
Having a new price of under IDR 150 million, is the right reason for some people to choose the Sigra 1.0.
2. Sigra 1.0 fuel consumption is more economical
The Daihatsu Sigra 1.0 is equipped with a 998 cc engine with code 1KR-VE, 12-valve 3 cylinders in line, DOHC, VVT-i. The engine with Electronic Fuel Injection technology that it uses can produce power of 67 PS at 6,000 rpm and maximum torque of 89.25 Nm at 4,400 rpm. To make it run, the engine is combined with a 5-speed manual transmission.
Being included in the LCGC vehicle class, Sigra is required to comply with fuel usage regulations for a minimum distance of 20 km/liter.
Based on actual testing, the Daihatsu Sigra 1.0 with a combined driving style in the city can cover a distance of 17 km/liter. This is different when traveling outside the city at a constant speed, the fuel consumption reaches up to 20 km/liter.
Both use a 5-speed manual transmission, the 1.2 Sigra variant recorded a fuel usage figure of 14 km/liter in city use. Meanwhile, when used outside the city, this car can cover a distance of 19 km/liter.
3. Sigra 1.0 is liked because of its cheap taxes
The next reason the Daihatsu Sigra 1.0 is preferable to the 1.2 is because of its affordable tax value. As is known, the 2022 Sigra 1.0 D alert for tax is IDR 1,800,000, while the Sigra 1.0 M is IDR 1,940,000.
For the Sigra 1.2 variant, the annual tax amount starts from IDR 2,120,000 to IDR 2,400,000.
4. Sigra 1.0 features are quite complete
At a low price, Sigra 1.0 has quite complete features. As can be seen on the M type, this car uses dark smoked LED headlights which make it look even more sporty, attractive and stylish. At the rear, the M type also has a wiper applied to the glass.
Looking at the inside, this car has an ECO indicator, digital clock, MID screen and tachometer, and is even equipped with arm rests in the first row. In terms of entertainment, the manufacturer has equipped it with a single din head unit which supports several formats to provide comfort while driving.
