The All New Honda CR-V RS e:HEV won the prestigious award as Car of the Year 2023 from News Corp Australia. The sixth generation Honda CR-V managed to achieve the highest rating after passing strict trials and assessments which included five main criteria, namely price, performance, design, technology and qualified safety technology.

News Corp's annual awards event for four-wheeled vehicles is an assessment process for all car brands that have been launched within a 12-month period. The All New Honda CR-V RS e:HEV competed with nine other finalists, including five electric cars, two other hybrid models, and one diesel-powered car.

Carolyn McMahon as Director of Honda Australia said, "This year marks the 26th anniversary of the presence of the Honda CR-V in the Australian market, and we are very proud of the award received.

Honda's e:HEV technology is gaining popularity across its product lines, including the Honda Accord, Honda Civic, Honda ZR-V and Honda HR-V, providing a dynamic combination of performance and efficiency. We are confident that the Honda CR-V RS e:HEV will also receive an equally enthusiastic reception among Australian consumers.”

Richard Blackburn, News Corp's National Editor for Automotive, emphasized that, “The Honda CR-V e:HEV managed to steal the show with its solid build quality, sporty suspension and steering tuning, and impressive attention to detail in the cabin.

You can clearly feel the dedication that Honda has put into developing solid quality, adapting the suspension and steering system to a sporty character, as well as excellence in the implementation of driver assistance systems. The CR-V, which has been designed with such care, deserves to be recognized as the winner of Car of the Year."

The All New Honda CR-V is an SUV model that is designed with a design that is now sportier and takes safety into account for its users and other road users, where this model managed to achieve the highest safety level from IIHS Top Safety Pick+ and ASEAN NCAP in 2023.

In addition to safety technology, e:HEV technology in this model also offers a pleasant driving experience while saving fuel and serves as an important step in Honda's electrification strategy to achieve carbon neutrality for all Honda company products and activities by 2050.
