Honda Legendary Sedan, All New Honda Accord RS e:HEV Wins Best Safety Level Predicate from ASEAN NCAP
The Honda Accord RS e:HEV succeeded in getting the best safety rating, namely 5 stars, from ASEAN NCAP. This achievement shows Honda's strong commitment to the safety of everyone to create a society free from traffic accidents.
The All New Honda Accord RS e:HEV achieved an impressive overall score of 87.44 out of 100 (total score 105.65/120) which includes the front crash test, side crash test and safety features test. The All New Honda Accord RS e:HEV achieved an impressive score for Adult Occupant Protection (AOP), namely 30.90/32.
Then a score of 45.25/51 for Child Passenger Protection (COP), and a score of 19.50/21 for Safety Assist Technology (SAT), and a score of 10/16 for Motorcycle Rider Safety (MS).
This legendary sedan model from Honda has been launched and sold in the United States and Asia including Indonesia in 2023. The 11th generation Honda Accord is equipped with Honda SENSING, Honda's advanced driving assistance system.
The system integrates a new front sensor camera and millimeter wave radar to provide better awareness of driving conditions around the vehicle by effectively detecting cars, motorbikes and pedestrians. It provides warnings and supports drivers in avoiding or reducing the severity of collisions.
The All New Honda Accord RS e:HEV is also equipped with various advanced safety features such as Multi-view Camera System, Active Cornering Light, Motion Management System, 8 Airbags, Driver Attention Monitor, Parking Sensor System, and Front Passenger and Rear Seat Belt Reminder.
The crash test carried out was a form of collaboration between ASEAN NCAP and the Japan Automobile Research Institute (JARI). In general, testing should be carried out after mass production of the model begins.
