Since its launch thirty years ago, more than 1,700 PC-12 aircraft of all variants have entered service. Further to this, the PC-12 is a very versatile and tough aircraft, much like its bigger brother PC-24. The cabin interior of the PC-12 can be easily customized to suit your desired mission.
The PC-12 had no problems landing on an unpaved runway. This provides a major advantage by increasing the number of airports it has access to. For example, the PC-12 NGX can reach 21,300 airports worldwide. Its closest competitor can only reach 11,600 airports.
Pilate Performance PC-12 NGX
The PC-12 NGX is powered by a single Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6E-67XP engine with Electronic Propeller and Engine Control System (EPECS). This helps give the NGX a take-off range of just 2,485 feet. The landing distance of the plane came in at just 2,170 feet.
When on a cruise, the aircraft can fly at a maximum cruising speed of 290 knots. The aircraft can climb up to 30,000 feet and fly nonstop up to 1,803 Nautical Miles (2,075 Miles / 3,339 KM). Maximum Take Off Weight (MTOW) of 10,450 lbs gives customers a lot of flexibility when flying their missions.
Pilate Interior PC-12 NGX
The PC-12 NGX has everything you'd expect from a modern turboprop aircraft. In fact, the comfort level is so high that in many ways it fits even more than the Ultra Light Jet of airplanes.
The PC-12 NGX has a cabin volume of 330 cubic feet. This leads to the same cabin volume as a plane that costs twice as much. Pilatus has teamed up with BMW Designworks to create a stunning interior. This partnership results in a comfortable and modern cabin experience. Design inspiration was clearly drawn from the PC-24, the aircraft's beautifully laid out interior.
The Pilatus PC-12 NGX features a full-back executive chair, high backrest and more headroom than the previous generation. The seats are finished with fine European leather and special hand stitching. Depending on your intentions for the plane, Pilatus has many designs that will perfectly reflect your unique style. As expected, each aircraft is individually crafted to exceed your expectations. This puts the PC-12 NGX on par with much more expensive aircraft.
Cockpit
Pilatus has dubbed the PC-12 NGX the "world's most advanced single". Their reasoning for this is that the PC-12 NGX is the only prop aircraft to offer advanced avionics typically only seen in high-end business jets. All this for just one pilot. True, PC-12 can be piloted by only one person.
Features include SmartView synthetic vision with a performance-based heads up display symbology and an Advanced Cockpit Environment (ACE) that sets the bar for ultimate control and situational awareness. Furthermore, Pilatus has integrated autopilot optimized for stability and smoothness.
The NGX's safety features include Emergency Decent Mode EDM) and Crew Alerting System (CAS) which automatically summons the appropriate electronic checklist on the multifunction display.
Pilatus PC-12 NGX Rental Fees
Estimated cost to rent a Pilatus PC-12 NGX price $2,000 per flight hour. Naturally, prices will vary depending on availability, fuel prices, land costs and more. Please note, as with any aircraft certified for single pilot operation, a reputable charter operator will insist on having two pilots in advance. This is for security, insurance and legal reasons. Be wary of operators willing to fly planes with only one pilot.
Purchase fee
The list price for the PC-12 NGX is $4.4 million before option. Currently, the NGX is still so new that second-hand examples haven't hit the market yet. However, the previous generation of PC-12 retains its value impressively. The five-year-old sample (PC-12 NG) is estimated to cost $4 million. The twenty year old PC-12 example still retains its value, costing just under $3 million.
