Has 8 Airbags and More Complete Honda SENSING Features!

As a standard safety feature, the All New Honda Accord RS e:HEV is equipped with 8 SRS Airbags located at the front, sides and knees.

And interestingly, there is also Active Cornering Light which helps users to see objects ahead when turning by providing additional lighting in the direction they are going.

This feature will be active when the driver turns at low speed, and turns on when the headlights are active at a speed of less than 40 km/hour. Apart from that, it will also be active when using the turn signal or moving the steering wheel.

The first in Honda's newest line up, the All New Accord RS e:HEV has a Pop-up Hood System which will work automatically when sensors read that the vehicle has hit a pedestrian.

This feature will raise the back of the engine hood as high as 100 mm, which aims to reduce pedestrian head injuries.

The gasoline engine and electric motor produce 207 PS of power

Talking about its powertrain, the All New Honda Accord RS e:HEV is equipped with a 2,000 cc direct-injected 4-cylinder in-line Atkinson cycle DOHC engine which can produce 145 PS of power at 6,100 rpm and 179 Nm of torque at 4,500 rpm.

Combined with an Electrical Continuously Variable Transmission (E-CVT) gearbox, the electric motor is capable of producing 184 PS of power at 5,000-8,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 335 Nm at 0-2,000 rpm.

The combination of the engine and electric motor is capable of producing up to 207 PS of power. First in Honda's new car line, the All New Accord RS e:HEV gets the EV Switch feature.

When electric mode is activated, this feature has three different mode options that can be used according to the user's wishes. In Auto mode, the system will use the most effective driving mode according to road conditions and the driver's needs.

Meanwhile, EV mode functions to optimize the use of the electric motorbike in driving so that it increasest the engine stops working and produces zero emissions and Charge mode to activate the engine to charge the vehicle battery.

Next, Charger mode turns on the engine to be able to charge the battery. The driving modes for this car range from Normal, Sport, ECON to Individual.

Most recently, the Individual driving mode is useful to make it easier for drivers to adjust the car's performance to suit their tastes and desires in various road conditions.
