You are certainly familiar with this one British car brand in Indonesia. The history of the Mini car is inseparable from the fuel oil crisis that occurred in Europe, including England, in the 1950s.
To anticipate this, the British Motor Corporation (BMC) launched the manufacture of small, spacious, and fuel-efficient cars.
Since the first, Mini has offered many variants, such as the Mini Van, Mini Clubman, Mini Moke, but the most remembered until now is the Mini Cooper variant.

The British car brand Mini first entered Indonesia in the early 1970s. Until now, there are a total of 14 Mini variants sold in the Indonesian market.
1. Mini Cooper
You could say, this is the original version of the Mini Cooper. There are two significant variants, namely Mini Cooper 3 doors and Mini Cooper 5 doors. For this variant, it starts from Rp. 765 million for 3 doors. Then Rp. 795 million for the 5-door version.
2. Mini Cooper S
Actually, the appearance of the Mini Cooper S is the same as the regular Mini Cooper. However, there is a slight increase in speed in the Mini Cooper S engine.
With a horsepower of 192 hp it feels tough for us to feel in this small body car. Obviously a bit far when compared to the power of the regular Mini Cooper which is only fed with 136 hp of power.
The Mini Cooper S is divided into two variants, namely 3 doors which are priced at Rp.955 million, and a 5-door variant which is priced at Rp.995 million.
3. Mini Cooper John Cooper Works
Mini Cooper JCW is the perfect version in terms of speed. Yes, of the two original Mini Cooper variants, this is the fastest.
How not, a four-cylinder engine with a power of 211 hp, turbo twin scroll technology is embedded in this Mini JCW.
No wonder the price is more expensive than the other two Mini Cooper variants. For the Mini JCW 3 doors variant, the price is IDR 1.1 billion. While the 5-door variant, the price is Rp. 1.12 billion.
4. Mini Cooper Cabrio
This is the most unique version of the Mini. Because it has an open roof, aka a roof that can be opened and closed automatically. The top is made of canvas. Perfect for those of us who want to drive while enjoying the fresh air around us.
However, the drawback, because the roof of the car is made of canvas, makes the level of soundproofing in the cabin when the roof is closed to be less. But overall, it's still comfortable, really.
This Mini Cabrio is only available in 3 doors variants. However, there are 3 variants, namely, the regular Mini Cooper Cabrio which is priced at Rp. 865 million, and the Mini Cooper S Cabrio at a price of Rp. 1.03 billion. And finally the Mini Cooper JCW Cabrio for IDR 1.1 billion.
5. Mini Cooper Countryman
This Countryman type is slightly different from the other Mini Cooper variants. Where, the Countryman version is designed as an SUV model.
Thus making it a more spacious cabin. The appearance is also masculine, but the typical 'rounded' impression of the Mini Cooper car is not lost. For more difficult road terrain, this Countryman is much easier to carry.
The Mini Cooper Countryman comes in 3 variants, all of which have 5 doors. The usual Mini Cooper Countryman is priced at IDR 755 million.
The Mini Cooper Countryman S variant is priced at Rp. 969 million. Meanwhile, the JCW version is priced at IDR 1.47 billion.
6. Mini Cooper Clubman
Finally, there is the Mini Cooper Clubman which is present as a Mini version of the hatchback model. The model is a bit elongated compared to the regular Mini Cooper, that's because the Clubman comes with a 5-door variant. In Indonesia alone, Clubman comes in two variants.
Namely the regular Mini Cooper Clubman variant which is priced at Rp. 705 million and the Mini Cooper Clubman S which is priced at Rp. 875 million.
In conclusion, the Mini Cooper is a car that comes with a unique design, different from other types of cars around the world. Namely the 'rounded' design that has always been his trademark. The model is very cute, futuristic with a classic Mini that doesn't go away.
The technology that is plugged in in terms of the interior is so luxurious. But unfortunately, the maintenance costs are quite expensive, and the annual tax is quite expensive.
