Honda displays turbo hybrid racing engine technology which can be seen on the special display of the Formula 1 racing car belonging to the Red Bull Racing Honda team at the Honda Racing corner in the Honda booth at the GIIAS 2022 exhibition event which will take place from August 20, 2022. 11 to 21 August 2022 at ICE, BSD, Tangerang district.
The special display of the Red Bull Racing Honda RB16B Formula 1 racing car is displayed in a 1:1 scale used in the 2021 F1 racing event. Red Bull Racing Honda uses a car chassis with the code RB16B and uses a Honda turbo hybrid engine coded RA621H. This turbocharged engine from Honda has an engine capacity of 1.6 liters, inline injection, six cylinders (V6), equipped with Honda kinetic and thermal energy recovery system so that it can produce a maximum power of 900 hp and a maximum engine speed of 15,000 rpm.
Honda began developing a turbo hybrid racing engine for Formula 1 racing since 2014 in line with the technical regulations in Formula 1 racing, namely this turbo hybrid racing engine using a turbocharged engine with a capacity of 1.6 liters, inline injection, six cylinders (V6). The racing machine is also equipped with kinetic and thermal energy recovery system (electric motor) components. Honda started using the racing machine in Formula 1 racing in 2015 until now.

At the end of 2021, Honda won the world title for the racer category presented by Red Bull Racing Honda team racer Max Verstappen. This world title is the first time for Honda in the modern F1 racing era or the F1 turbo hybrid era and also the first time since the last time it won the world title in 1991 or exactly 30 years ago.
The special display of the Red Bull Racing Honda RB16B Formula 1 racing car that was displayed this time used a special livery with Honda's corporate colors, namely; white and red with the words “ありがとう/ Arigatou” in Japanese or Thank You in Indonesian. This special livery was prepared by Honda as an expression of gratitude as well as farewell to racing fans, especially the Formula 1 racing event.
After withdrawing from Formula 1 at the end of 2021, Honda then appointed Honda Racing (HRC) to continue Honda's role in Formula 1 racing to develop and supply its racing engines to the Red Bull Racing and Scuderia AlphaTauri teams from 2022. At the beginning of August 2022, Honda and Red Bull have announced to continue cooperation in the technical field where Honda Racing Corporation (HRC) decided to supply racing engines (power units) to both teams until the end of 2025.
In addition to the display of Formula 1 racing cars, the Honda Racing Corner at the Honda booth also displayed a racing motorcycle used by Honda in the MotoGP racing event in 2022, namely the Honda RC213V motorcycle used by the two racers of the Repsol Honda Team HRC team, namely Marc Marquez (#93) and Pol Espargaro (#44). In addition, Honda also displayed the Honda RC213V-S, which is a mass-produced motorcycle developed from the racing specs used by Honda in MotoGP racing.
