ZTE has officially launched its newest high-end smartphone (flagship) from the Axon Series family, namely the Axon 50 Ultra. As the name suggests, this phone is the successor of the Axon 40 Ultra which was released earlier last year.
As a successor, this phone is equipped with a variety of new features, one of which is a two-way short messaging service (SMS) feature via satellite connectivity.
Later, this feature will rely on a satellite SMS service owned by the internet company Beidou, nicknamed BDS.
Through this service, users will be able to send SMS even if they don't get a cellular signal. This feature is useful in an emergency, for example when you get lost in an area with no signal.
Apart from the satellite SMS feature, the ZTE Axon 50 Ultra is also equipped with improvements in the kitchen runway sector. This phone is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset.
This chipset is combined with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage media. It is not stated how much RAM and storage capacity this phone carries.
In the camera sector, the ZTE Axon 50 Ultra is equipped with three rear cameras, each of which has a resolution of 64 MP (Sony IMX787, OIS), 50 MP (telephoto, 3x optical zoom) and 50 MP (ultrawide).
This phone also has a front camera with a resolution of 16 MP. This camera is loaded in the punch hole module which is located at the top center of the screen.
Regarding the screen, the ZTE Axon 50 Ultra adopts a 1 billion color curved AMOLED screen measuring 6.67 inches with Full HD Plus resolution. This screen already supports a refresh rate of up to 144 Hz.
For the power sector, this cellphone is supported by a jumbo battery with a capacity of 5,000 mAh. This battery supports fast charging at 80 watts of power.
In the software sector, the ZTE Axon 50 Ultra runs the Android 13 operating system which is polished with the MyOS 13 interface (UI), as summarized by GSMArena, Friday (14/4/2023).
Although the design and specifications have been announced, ZTE has not disclosed the price of this device, either for the Chinese or global markets. Not yet certain whether this device will be sold in Indonesia or not. We'll just wait.
