Daihatsu Motor is rumored to be presenting the latest product to face the national automotive market which is now starting to develop after the Covid-19 pandemic.
The launch of the latest car from Daihatsu is known based on an official invitation at the AutoFun editorial desk, which is planned to be held in the Ancol area, Jakarta, on Thursday (8/6/2023).
"We invite Mr/Mrs Friends of Journalists to be able to attend the Daihatsu Product Launch Press Conference," wrote the Daihatsu invitation.
Indeed, at this time various Daihatsu parties are still reluctant to divulge what products will be launched next week.
Daihatsu Terios Facelift 2023 or Rocky Hybrid?
Even though ADM closed the meeting on new product information, many predicted that Daihatsu's newest car would be the Rocky Hybrid.
This is because the Daihatsu Rocky Hybrid is predicted to be the right product if the Japanese car brand enters the era of electrification in the country.
Even if you look at the schedule for the launch of the Hybrid car, this year Daihatsu should have entered the era of electrification.
But other predictions, some say that the new product in question is the Daihatsu Terios Facelift 2023 or Terios Special Edition.
The reason is that the second generation Terios has launched in 2017 and probably won't do a complete overhaul yet.
However, the Terios Facelift or Special Edition can happen, because Daihatsu usually does light refreshments or improvements every two years.
Finally, in 2021 the Low Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) style car is doing a light refresh, where the car is embedded with Eco Idle technology which can turn off the engine automatically.
As well as getting additional safety features in the form of Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) and Hill Start Assist (HSA).
There are also those who argue that the appearance of the Terios facelift is the final edition before the LSUV RWD stops production.
