Mitsubishi Pajero Sport Euro 4 Standard Comes with Additional Features

The emission regulations that apply from April 2022 make all Mitsubishi diesel engine models comply with these emission provisions. Including the popular SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle) Mitsubishi Pajero Sport.

Naoya Nakamura, President Director of PT MMKSI, said that his party supports and complies with government regulations regarding the implementation of the Euro 4 emission standard for diesel-engined cars. This follows a gasoline engine product that already comes with Euro 4 emissions. In addition to the Pajero Sport, the L300 model will also follow. This makes all Mitsubishi Motors products in Indonesia compliant with the Euro 4 emission standard.

"Currently our flagship model Mitsubishi Pajero Sport is available and sold with an engine with Euro 4 emission standards. Later on, it will follow the Triton in the 4x4 pick up class and the L300 for the small pick up. This is a form of Mitsubishi's contribution to exhaust emissions with higher standards and for environmental sustainability," said Nakamura in his statement.

Pajero Sport which is marketed in Indonesia currently uses 4N15 (2.4L) MIVEC and 4D56 (2.5L) engines with Euro 4 standard specifications. Both are equipped with an intercooled turbocharger direct injection diesel feature. The 4N15 engine produces 181 ps of power at 3,500 rpm and 430 Nm of torque at 2,500 rpm. Euro 4 specifications are also present in the latest L300 and Triton engines.

Mitsubishi advises users of the Pajero Sport, L300 and Triton to read the owner's manual and service booklet as a reference for unit maintenance. It is highly recommended that these three models use Euro 4 specification fuel which is labeled EN590 diesel or has a cetane number of 51 or higher with a sulfur content of less than 50 ppm.

Mitsubishi Pajero Sport Euro 4 gets a small upgrade, namely the presence of auto light, auto wiper, and auto dimming features which are now equipped with an on / off switch. Updates are also available on multi-around monitors with both side view and transparent front side view for easy viewing of surrounding conditions.

The Triton double cabin is planned to get a refresh on the exterior. While the Mitsubishi L300 will get a wider cargo increase.

Pajero Sport is offered in several variants. The GLX 4x4 model is now priced at IDR 551.9 million, the Exceed (4x2) MT is offered at IDR 526.6 million, and the Exceed (4x2) AT is priced at IDR 541.8 million. The Dakar Ultimate (4x2) AT is offered at a price of Rp. 649.8 million and the Dakar Ultimate (4x4) AT is now offered at a price of Rp. 709.5 million.
