The New Mitsubishi Motors SUV will soon be officially announced to make its first appearance at the 2023 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 10-20 August.
Approaching its global debut, PT Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Sales Indonesia (MMKSI) is increasingly exposing the advantages of the New Mitsubishi Motors SUV to compete in the domestic automotive market.
One of the advantages of the car based on the Mitsubishi XFC Concept is the presence of four driving modes that each driver can choose from.
"Currently MMKSI is carrying out intensive preparations to become the first country to introduce and market The New Mitsubishi Motors SUV at the GIIAS 2023 event in August. We are confident that this latest vehicle will meet the expectations and needs of the Indonesian people and our passionate consumers. in living life's adventures on a daily basis," said Atsushi Kurita, President Director of MMKSI in his written statement, Friday (28/07/2023).
He further explained, the latest compact SUV with the three diamond logo, among others, will have the highest ground clearance in its class, which is 222 mm.
This design is expected to give a sense of calm when driving, even when facing bad road conditions. Moreover, this car also has four drive modes that can be selected according to the conditions of the road being traversed. What are they?
1. Normal
This mode can be selected when you are driving on an asphalt road where there are no significant obstacles, both on urban roads and toll roads.
2. Wet
Is a choice of driving modes that can minimize the possibility of losing steering control while providing comfortable driving in areas that are suddenly flooded or flooded due to rain.
3. Gravel
Because this car is based on an SUV type, so when you are adventurous and encounter gravel roads, you can use this driving mode so that the tires can still provide traction.
4. Mud
If you encounter muddy roads that are not extreme, then the driving mode can be changed to this position so that the steering can still be controlled.
"The New SUV is not really for the Paris Dakar. This car was developed for the Indonesian market. Indonesia means from Jakarta to the whole. This car has four driving modes, one of which is the wet mode. This mode can be adapted to any road," continued Tetsuhiro Tsuchida, MMKSI Director of Sales & Marketing Division.
In addition to the four driving modes earlier, just like the Xpander Cross, this latest SUV also has an Active Yaw Control (AYC) feature. Namely a system that increases controllability by adjusting the driving force on the left and right front wheels; traction control, which controls tire movement, engine control, and power steering control.
