Complementing the other GR Sport variants, Toyota Motor Thailand Company Limited introduced its newest line up in the compact SUV segment with a sportier appearance, namely the Toyota C-HR HEV GR Sport on Tuesday, March 15 2022.
"Toyota C-HR HEV GR Sport is part of other Toyota products in the GR Sport series produced in Thailand at the Toyota Gateway Assembly Plant, Chachoengsao Province. Developed from sports DNA under the Gazoo Racing concept, the C-HR HEV GR Sport is another product from "Our determination to create better cars to meet the needs is expected of customers," said Mr Surasak Suthongwan, Executive Vice President of Toyota Motor Thailand Company Limited.
To give a sporty impression, the external appearance of the Toyota C-HR HEV GR Sport comes with the GR Sport package which includes a body kit on the sides, front and rear bumpers, as well as 18 inch alloy wheels with a new fan design painted in a dark color. Not left behind are the LED fog lights, and the GR emblem on the front bumper, GR Sport on the rear as its identity.
Likewise with the interior appearance, the Toyota C-HR HEV GR Sport has received slight changes, dominated by dark colors to make it look more sporty, such as the addition of gun metallic and black colors. The seats themselves are put together using gray thread with the GR emblem, the perforated steering wheel is wrapped in leather with the GR logo, and the intelligent push start/stop engine start system is also embedded with the GR Sport logo.

Not only has the appearance been changed by bringing the GR Sport DNA, Toyota has also provided an upgrade to the shock absorber system. This aims to make the car feel more agile, balanced and stable when driven at high speed thanks to the increased spring adjustment.
Sportier driving style, Toyota C-HR HEV GR Sport's fuel consumption remains economical!
Built on the strong TNGA platform and having a low center of gravity, the Toyota C-HR HEV GR Sport is equipped with a hybrid engine that combines a conventional petrol engine with an electric motor.
Talking about its petrol engine, this car is equipped with a 2ZR-FXE 4-cylinder in-line 16-valve DOHC with VVT-i engine with a capacity of 1,798 cc, which can produce 98 PS of power @ 5,200 rpm and 142 Nm of torque @ 3,600 rpm. The tests carried out using ECO mode resulted in fuel consumption reaching 24.4 km/liter.
For information, the safety features of the Toyota C-HR HEV GR Sport are equipped with Toyota Safety Sense (TSS) which includes All-speed dynamic radar cruise control with lane tracing assist, Lane departure warning system with automatic steering delay, Pre-collision safety system, and Automatic high beam control system.
In the Land of the White Elephant, the Toyota C-HR HEV GR Sport is offered in three color choices, including; Attitude Black Mica / Silver roof (silver roof), Pearl White Platinum White Pearl / Black roof (black roof) and Premium Red / Black roof (black roof). For the new price, this car is being sold for 1,189,000 baht or around Rp. 507 million.
