Audi has unveiled its newest concept car, the AI: Trail Quattro Concept. Making its debut at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show held in Frankfurt, Germany, this car gave a breakthrough in the off-road class of vehicles.
Reported by Motor1.com, this fully electric four-door car has a futuristic shape typical of a concept car. Looks dashing, AI: Trail Quattro has a length of 4.15 meters and a width of 2.15 meters with a ground clearance of 34 cm which is allegedly capable of bulldozing water with a depth of 48 cm.
Although it looks big, this car uses lightweight materials so that it only weighs 1.75 tons.
A single charge can take this car a distance of 400 to 500 kilometers on easy off-road terrain. For more difficult terrain, more power is required so that the distance covered is reduced to approximately 250 kilometers.
The Audi AI: Trail Quattro has four electric motors that can produce up to 429 hp and a maximum torque of 1,000 Nm.
Autonomous Driving
Not only futuristic design, this car is also given modern technological features. Although it is an off-road car, AI: Trail Quattro has autonomous driving capabilities. In conditions on the highway, this car will be able to use the ability of autonomous driving level four. For off-road paths, the ability will be reduced to level three in low speed conditions.
The level in autonomous driving determines how self-sufficient this technology is. The higher the level number, the more independent the vehicle will operate.
