The latest motorcycle from Ducati, the XDiavel S, won the Best of the Best Award in the 2016 Product Design category at the Red Dot Award. This gahar motorcycle managed to beat thousands of other competitors.
Of course this was welcomed by them. Andrea Ferraresi, Ducati Style Center Manager, said this bike is very sexy.
"The design of this motorcycle is inspired by the world of cruisers. On the other hand, Ducati DNA adds a concept to a modern context: a real 'technocruiser' with a futuristic style," said Ferraresi, quoted from Motorbiketimes, Tuesday (12/4/2016).
The XDiavel S is part of the Ducati Diavel line-up, which first launched in 2010. The entire design of the Diavel began under the leadership of its longtime design chief, Pierre Terblanche.
According to the official website, every detail of XDiavel S is made to strengthen the character of XDiavel. "Premium quality materials and smooth finishes combine with the highest technology in the S version to deliver a most unique design," they wrote.
While in the driving department, the Ducati XDiavel S is equipped with a two-cylinder Testastretta DVT 1262 engine that churns out 156 Tk of power and 128 Nm of torque.
To note, this is not the first time Ducari won the Red Dot Award. Another of its models, the 1199 Panigale, also received the same prize in 2013.
The Italian manufacturer will receive the award on July 4 in Essen, Germany. The event will also be attended by thousands of leading designers and businessmen.
