Aldi Satya Mahendra is optimistic about making achievements again at the Catalunya Circuit
Rider trained by Yamaha Racing Indonesia, Aldi Satya Mahendra, is ready to compete in the WorldSSP300 world racing championship in 2024. The first series will take place at the Spanish Catalunya circuit, March 22-24. The inaugural round of the World Supersport 300 (WorldSSP300) coincides with the 2nd series of WorldSBK and WorldSSP.
Aldi Satya Mahendra, who comes from Yogyakarta, joined the BrCorse team. The 17 year old racer has made various preparations, both physically and training on a motorbike by racing in SE250 cc motocross or 450 cc supermoto.
The podium target is a realistic thing for Aldi Satya Mahendra, who has experience performing at international events. Last year he took part in the R3 bLU cRU European Championship full series and was in 2nd place in the final standings. Also competed several times as a wildcard racer in the WorldSSP300 championship.
Competing this season in WorldSSP300, Aldi Satya Mahendra will use a Yamaha YZF-R3 motorbike with a 321 cc cylinder, which is a global model produced in Indonesia. Then regarding adaptation to the circuit, he is already familiar with the Catalunya track which is 4.6 km long and has 14 corners. On the Catalunya track, Aldi Satya Mahendra once made a sweet achievement in winning the runner-up podium in race 1 of the R3 bLU cRU European Championship 2023. Apart from that, he also achieved the first podium at the Czech WorldSSP300. As a result, he already has important experience which is a strong motivation to win the podium.
"For the first series of the WorldSSP300 championship this season, I will try to give the best results with the BR Corse team, for Red and White Getting Ahead, Yamaha Time To The Max, Yamaha Getting Ahead, Full Gaspoll!" said Aldi Satya Mahendra.
