Relying on Honda Power Unit, Scuderia AlphaTauri Prepares for the 2023 F1 Racing Season


New York, USA, 14 February 2023. The Scuderia AlphaTauri Team still relies on the Power Unit from Honda to face the 2023 F1 racing season. 

In addition, the Scuderia AlphaTauri team also looks completely new, starting from a new race car, new livery to a new racer lineup to face Formula 1 (F1) racing season 2023.

The Scuderia AlphaTauri team launched a new racing car named AT04 to coincide with the introduction of the latest AlphaTauri fashion collection at the New York Fashion Week 2023 event held at Lincoln Center, New York City, USA.

Not only a new racing car, the team's racing car livery has also been renewed where in 2023, the team added a red color scheme to the AT04 car body along with the announcement of cooperation with the new Principal Partner of the team, namely the largest oil and gas company in Central Europe, namely PKN ORLEN .

In the 2023 F1 racing season, the Scuderia AlphaTauri team is experiencing a change in the composition of drivers where for the first time Nyck de Vries will race with the team alongside Yuki Tsunoda as the main driver.

Meanwhile, from a technical point of view, as previously announced, Scuderia AlphaTauri as part of the Red Bull Group will continue to collaborate with Honda as a power unit provider for the racing team from Faenza, Italy until the end of 2025.

In the 2023 F1 racing season, the Honda logo will be re-installed on the AT04 car body, namely on the engine cover and on the front of the racing clothes and team clothes. Meanwhile the HRC logo is installed on the nose of the AT04 car.

The Scuderia AlphaTauri team made its debut in Formula 1 racing in 2020 as a continuation of the Scuderia Toro Rosso team. Until 2022, the Scuderia AlphaTauri team had won one victory, two podiums, and one fastest lap.

The Scuderia AlphaTauri Team will start the 2023 F1 racing season by conducting an official pre-season F1 2023 test session at the Bahrain International Circuit, Sakhir, Bahrain from 23 to 25 February 2023 to test the performance of the new AT04 car. 

Meanwhile, the inaugural series of the 2023 F1 racing season will begin on March 5, 2023 at the Bahrain Grand Prix and will end on November 26, 2023 at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
