Xiaomi announced the Redmi Gaming Monitor G24. This gaming monitor comes with a 23.8-inch panel size at a fairly cheap selling price in its class.
Features of the Redmi Gaming Monitor G24
The panel carries a Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The maximum brightness level of the panel is 300 nits. Like other modern gaming monitors, the screen refresh rate is also high. Can be up to 165 Hz with a response time of 1 millisecond (MPRT).
This screen also supports Nvidia G-Sync and VESA Adaptive-Sync features. Both of these features are useful for ensuring a smoother appearance and minimizing the tearing effect.
You can also rely on creative content. The color gamut supports a 120% sRGB color gamut. The color accuracy has been calibrated from the manufacturer with the Delta E standard of less than 2. To enjoy multimedia content, the Redmi Gaming Monitor G24 supports HDR content with the HDR10 standard.
In the connectivity sector, this monitor only provides HDMI and DisplayPort ports. Unfortunately, there is no support for USB Type-A or USB Type-C ports. HDMI 2.1 port is also not available. So, it's not ideal for playing games on next-generation consoles like the Playstation 5. For options with an HDMI 2.1 port, the 30-inch Redmi Curved Monitor gaming monitor could be an option.
Price and availability
This monitor is already available in the Chinese market first. The price for the Redmi Gaming Monitor G24 is US$100 or around 1.5 million Rupiah. This price is cheap for a Full HD gaming monitor with a 165Hz refresh rate and supports sRGB color coverage above 100%.
