PT. Eurokars Motor Indonesia (EMI) as the agent holding the Mazda brand in the country started 2023 by presenting two cars titled Anniversary Edition, namely the Mazda CX-5 EMI 6th Anniversary and the Mazda6 20th Anniversary.
It is known that the Mazda CX-5 6th Anniversary is deliberately presented to commemorate the milestone of achieving the 6th EMI in the national automotive market. Meanwhile, the Mazda6 20th Anniversary was brought to the national automotive market to celebrate the existence of the Mazda6, which has entered its 20th year.
According to Ricky Thio, managing director of PT Eurokars Motor Indonesia, the launch of the two new cars sparked Mazda's optimism about the economic conditions and the automotive market in Indonesia.
"This year is the year Mazda Indonesia focuses on products that promote the 7G philosophy. Products with luxury, comfort and cultural values wrapped in the 7G philosophy made in Japan," Ricky explained in a written statement.
Now, what makes the two cars different is the color appearance of the car which uses the latest Takuminuri paint collection, making it look more elegant and stunning.
Mazda CX-5 6th Anniversary Edition
For the New CX-5 EMI 6th Anniversary Edition, what is different and special is that this car is sold on a limited basis. In addition, the CX-5 comes with a premium Rhodium White color. Yes, the white color in this color dressing is very different, because it is said to be inspired by Japanese aesthetics that find beauty in simplicity and the absence of excessive elements.
The paintwork of this new color is also unique, as the paint contains very thin aluminum flakes. This is done to get a uniform thickness and produce a shiny body color.
On paper, this painting method produces a very thin reflective layer down to about 0.5 microns or about 7 percent of the thickness of a typical reflective layer.
Apart from the color problem, the New Mazda CX-5 6th Anniversary Edition is equipped with the i-Activ AWD (All-Wheel Drive) drive system. Thanks to the addition of this drive system, the innovative 200 times per second calculation of the i-Activ AWD determines the ideal distribution of torque between the front and rear wheels.
As a result, the engine performance in this car allows quick and responsive reactions, thus ensuring a better and more stable drive.
New Mazda6 20th Anniversary
For the Mazda6 20th Anniversary, it is actually made using the same method as the New Mazda CX-5 EMI 6th Anniversary Edition. It's just that the Takuminuri color on this luxury sedan is called Artisan Red Premium.
It was stated that the color of the Mazda6 20th Anniversary sedan was developed to expand the world's view of red.
This color is considered to be one of the colors that symbolize Mazda, as the culmination of Takuminuri's evolution to mark the 10th year since the release of the first Soul Red Premium color, as well as marking the 20th anniversary of the birth of the Mazda6 flagship sedan.
This Mazda6 variant will be a special limited edition for Indonesian customers. In the New MAZDA6 20th Anniversary Edition, there are also two variants, namely the sedan and the Estate.
Apart from coming with a special color, the New Mazda6 20th Anniversary Edition is also combined with an exclusive interior, in the form of front seat headrests with embossed 20th Anniversary logo, tan instrument panel or door trim, tan nappa leather seats, instrument panel decoration or matte door trim. Special chocolate can only be obtained on the 20th Anniversary Edition model.
Prices for Mazda CX-5 EMI 6th Anniversary Edition and Mazda6 20th Anniversary
Regarding the price, the New Mazda CX-5 EMI 6th Anniversary Edition i-Activ AWD is priced at IDR 705,500,000, while for the New Mazda6 20th Anniversary both sedan and Estate types are priced at IDR 706,600,000.
