Astra Peugeot Indonesia officially launched a refresher or facelift model in the form of the new Peugeot 3008 2021 and Peugeot 5008 2021. Previously, the two brand-new SUVs had first paved the way in Europe in early 2021, then at the end of September yesterday they were released in Thailand. Until finally landing in Indonesia, Friday (1/10).

One more thing, the new Peugeot 3008 and 5008 are not only present in the Alure Plus variant, but also Active," said Astra Peugeot Chief Executive, Rokky Irvayandi when introducing it virtually.
Both bring significant changes. Mainly from the appearance that is now more fierce than before. This is due to changes in the design of the lights, grille and bumper which have eye-catching shapes.
The main light is now combined with a vertically elongated daytime running light (DRL) characterizing a fang. The grille is made in gradations to resemble a lion's mustache, which extends so that there is a line on the side of the car's bumper.
While from the side not much has changed. New to the back, actually has the same shape as the pre-facelift. However, if you look at the lights, now the shape is firmer, forming a 3-dimensional effect like a lion's claw. The lights are combined sein sequential underneath.
"Regarding the targeted segmentation, this facelift variant has a new composition and appearance, so we are confident that the new 3008 and 5008 can get a place in the luxury entry segment, targeting consumers who want to upgrade after owning a High SUV of IDR 500 million," continued Rokky.
Rokky added that by the end of 2021, both the new 3008 and 5008 could sell 50 units per month. Given that total SUV acceptance is increasing every year, from its contribution of 17.6 percent in 2019, it rose to 21.8 percent in 2020, and jumped 26.8 percent in 2021.
"Until August 2021, our total sales were 122 units, a decrease of 25 percent compared to last year. This was due to the cessation of supply since June because Malaysia had a lockdown from June to August so production stopped. Production resumed last September, and we started receiving supplies again for the model. facelift Peugeot 3008 and 5008," he said.
